I bought this flat iron after my hair stylist recommended it to me because of it's negative ions. I got it for Christmas in '05 and I have been nothing but extremely happy with it since! I owned another expensive flat iron prior to this one but I like this one much better. It is WAY better than Chi flat irons (for some reason everyone seems to think they are the best on the market - they aren't. They're good, but not the best). It gets very hot very quickly, and maintains it's heat. It lasts, I've had mine nearly four years and I've had no problems with it what so ever. I have been stuck at friends' houses with out my flat iron and have to borrow theirs, and I can tell the difference immediately. This one beats any I've ever tried. Works wonders for my naturally wavy hair with a tendency to frizz.
Just one warning, be careful not to touch the section of hair you just straightened immediately after you straighten it. I know this sounds obvious but it's easy to do so because... Read more

The iSmooth iron, trully feels like it is not torching my hair, does a beautiful job of smoothing my whole head! I would say it's perfect for fine to normal hair, but is not going to be a true straightener for long, curly , coarse hair without a lot of work!
